Always with the direct supervision and experience of some of our diving instructors you will learn the basic skills and safety guidelines of scuba diving and you will practice your skills during one or two dives some of our most beautiful dive sites in Komodo, always in calm and shallow waters. Are you a certified diver but haven’t been in the water for a while? Do you feel that your need to refresh a bit diving skills? you have to chose our Refresh program. During this quick Refresh course, one of our experienced instructors will update your knowledge of dive safety concepts, dive planning and problem management. You will remember also how to set up your scuba equipment and how to complete a pre-dive safety check. During the following 3 dives, some basic scuba skills will be practiced, focusing on the areas that make you feel least confident. You will also recived good tips about your diving position, air consumption, fin kick tecnique... And a extend marine life briefing.
Take the PADI Open Water Diver course with us and become a certified independent diver. During this 3-day course one of our experienced instructors will teach you and a maximum of three fellow students the basics of diving. You will learn how to set up your equipment, how to control your air and how to react to emergency situations as well as how to enjoy diving with your buddy in the breath-taking waters of Komodo. The PADI Open Water Diver course is usually structured as follows:
Day 1: Theory!
The first day is a ‘dry’ day during which you will watch videos and read part of the PADI Open Water manual. Your instructor will help you understand the materials and will discuss scenarios with you and your fellow students to make your study more efficient and fun at the same time.
Day 2: Time to jump!
On the second day of your course, one of our boats will take your group to Komodo National Park for your first dives. In a protected bay you will complete a confined water session followed by two great dives to a maximum depth of 12 meters.
Day 3: Congratulations, Open Water Diver!
During your third and final day you will do the third and fourth dive of the course in some of the most spectacular sites of the area. You will dive down to 18 meters and will be able to enjoy the whole spectrum of marine biodiversity Komodo National Park has to offer. Back at Labuan Bajo and after you passed your final exam, your instructor will certify you as a PADI Open Water Diver. Let the underwater adventures begin!
You are a passionate diver and want to take your diving skills to the next level? You want to do dives deeper than 18 meters? Embark on new underwater adventures by getting certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver with one of our experienced instructors. The course takes two days and consists of five different adventure dives including a mandatory deep dive to 30 meters and an underwater navigation dive. The students can choose the remaining three specialties according to their diving interests. Options include underwater photography, night diving, drift diving, buoyancy control, fish identification, underwater naturalist and many more. As Komodo is well known for its strong currents and pristine biodiversity we strongly recommend the drift dive, fish identification and underwater naturalist dives. You don’t need a certain number of dives or much diving experience to enter the PADI Advanced Open Water course. The course is designed to advance your diving skills and build confidence under water and students are encouraged to take this course right after PADI Open Water Diver certification. The PADI Advanced Open Water course is usually structured as follows:
Are you looking for a new diving challenge? Become a PADI Rescue Diver and learn how to prevent and manage problems in the water and how to save the lives of fellow divers in emergency situations. Many divers consider the PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet the most rewarding course as it prepares students to react to and deal with any minor or major dive emergencies they might encounter during recreational diving. During three days of intensive study sessions, knowledge development and rescues exercises with your instructor, you will cover the most important emergency related topics such as self rescue, recognizing and managing stress in other divers, emergency management and rescuing tired, panicked and unresponsive divers. During this course you will become a more confident diver, knowing that you can help fellow divers in need. The PADI Rescue Diver course is usually structured as follows:
Day 1: Theory.
On the first day of your PADI Rescue Diver course you will watch the PADI Rescue Divervideo and read the manual. You will go over the materials and review the acquired knowledge with your instructor.
Day 2: Skills.
On day 2 you will practice each of the skills you need as a PADI Rescue Diver in confined/shallow water and familiarize yourself with the practical tasks and responsibilities of a PADI Rescue Diver.
Day 3: Scenarios.
This will be the most challenging day of your PADI Rescue Diver course as you will do 2 deep water dives to practice real life rescue scenarios with your instructor including rescuing an unresponsive diver from the bottom, towing him to the boat and providing CPR and emergency oxygen.
After successful completion of these exercises you will take your final exam and your instructor will certify you as a PADI Rescue Diver. You will definitely have a good night’s sleep after this day!
Become a PADI professional and start your diving career with taking the PADI Divemaster course. Becoming a PADI Divemaster in Komodo, one of the most renowned and challenging dive environments in the world, will kick start your diving career and prepare you for diving anywhere in the world. During this four to six week course you will perfect your diving skills preparing you for a career as a leader and mentor in scuba diving. Working closely with one of our experienced instructors you will cover the following topics and skills:

Remember that to start this course you must have taken the Emergency First Response and PADI Rescue Diver courses and you must have 40 logged dives in your logbook.
The dive master course is the longest course we offer, 4-6 weeks of diving inside the Komodo National Park.
