rescue diver

Are you looking for a new diving challenge? Become a Rescue Diver and learn how to prevent and manage problems in the water and how to save the lives of fellow divers in emergency situations. Many divers consider the Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet the most rewarding course as it prepares students to react to and deal with any minor or major dive emergencies they might encounter during recreational diving. During three days of intensive study sessions, knowledge development and rescues exercises with your instructor, you will cover the most important emergency related topics such as self rescue, recognizing and managing stress in other divers, emergency management and rescuing tired, panicked and unresponsive divers. During this course you will become a more confident diver, knowing that you can help fellow divers in need. The Rescue Diver course is usually structured as follows:

Day 1: Theory.

On the first day of your Rescue Diver course you will watch the Rescue Diver video and read the manual. You will go over the materials and review the acquired knowledge with your instructor.

Day 2: Skills.

On day 2 you will practice each of the skills you need as a Rescue Diver in confined/shallow water and familiarize yourself with the practical tasks and responsibilities of a Rescue Diver.

Day 3: Scenarios.

This will be the most challenging day of your Rescue Diver course as you will do 2 deep water dives to practice real life rescue scenarios with your instructor including rescuing an unresponsive diver from the bottom, towing him to the boat and providing CPR and emergency oxygen.
